Tarmac Surfacing

Tarmac is a road surface material composed of crushed stones mixed with tar. The process involves demolishing the existing surface, grading it for proper water drainage, and preparing a stable subbase. Proof rolling ensures sub-base compaction, followed by the addition of a binder layer for strength. The top layer, made of sand, oil, and aggregate, provides a smooth finish and finally, Butt joints integrate the tarmac with existing pavements or roads.
